From May 25th, all publishers using Google's ad products such as AdSense, AdX and AdMob will need to obtain end users' consent before showing personalized ads. The records of consent must be retained, and users must be able to revoke consent. Failure to comply might lead to account termination (in accordance with Google's EU user consent policy).

Google shared its recommendations on the user interface at Cookiechoices.org. We followed them precisly to help you comply with GDPR and the policy.

FAQs
Are you planning to introduce additional designs and A/B testing?
Yes. We started with a reference design provided by Google, but we plan to add other designs and the ability to test them against each other.
Can users revoke consent using the tool?
Yes. We provide publishers with the link that must be placed on the site. When the user clicks on the link, the consent dialog reappears.
Is Clickio Consent Tool compatible with the IAB Europe's GDPR Transparency & Consent Framework?
IAB Europe developed a framework that allows end users to give very granular consent (for specific purposes and even individual vendors). You can find more information about the framework at Advertisingconsent.eu.

Clickio participates in the Framework as a registered Consent Management Provider. We are working to make it fully compatible with the framework by May 23rd. This means that all vendor codes will be able to use standard CMP JS API to get users' consent strings.
Can Clickio Consent Tool be used with other ad vendors?
Absolutely. The tool can send consent status to other tags. If the vendor participates in IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, they will be able to receive users' consent status from our tool.

For all other vendors, we provide a simplified way to check the status, which is explained in our technical documentation.
Will the pop-ups start working immediately?
By default, consent pop-ups will start working from May 25th.

If you want to test how pop-ups work and you are from EEA, add ?showConsent=1 to the URL or check the "Change privacy settings" link that is provided. If you are not from the EEA, you can turn on "Test Mode" within the Consent Tool to check how pop-ups work.

It is possible to enable them immediately for a random percentage of users, or for all users. If you want to do this, please contact support or your account manager.
